Dave Timby
- Grew up in Philadelphia and started rowing at 13 as a coxswain for St. Joseph's Prep on the Schuylkill River
- Raced competitively for 8 years, collecting hardware at major regattas in Junior (St. Joe's and Penn AC), Collegiate (Georgetown), and Elite (Penn AC) classes
- Led crews that consistently overachieved through technical expertise and motivational leadership
- After college, chose corporate career over coaching offer at University of Delaware, spending 20 years starting two HR Tech companies and developing strategy at eBay
- Returned to rowing post-COVID, helping rebuild Berkeley High's program
- When not on the water, enjoys surfing at Fort Chronkite, attending kids' sports and theater performances, and planning next business ventures
