As one of only three rowing programs focused on recruiting from public high schools on the West Coast, we're committed to making this sport accessible to everyone. Our programs serve students from OUSD and the Oakland area, adult recreational rowers, and competitive masters athletes, creating a vibrant community centered on excellence, leadership, and collaboration.

Change a Student's Life
No Oakland student should miss out on rowing due to cost. Our scholarship program ensures that financial barriers never keep motivated students off the water.
Each scholarship covers a full season—monthly dues, uniforms, US Rowing membership, and travel to regattas. This comprehensive support is unique among Bay Area rowing teams and opens doors for students who wouldn't otherwise have access to this transformative sport.
A full scholarship costs $1,350 per season. Whether you fund an entire scholarship or contribute any amount, you're directly investing in a student athlete's growth, leadership development, and future opportunities.
How to Volunteer
Located right on the beautiful Oakland Estuary and San Francisco Bay Trail, we're always looking for people who want to make a direct impact on our waterfront community.
Our volunteers help with boat maintenance and repairs, facility improvements in our boat bay, and community partnership projects that enhance the estuary and Bay Trail for everyone. No experience necessary—we'll teach you what you need to know!
Most volunteer sessions are just an hour or two on Saturday mornings. Come when you can! Whether you're handy with tools or have never touched a wrench, there's something satisfying about working with your hands to support our rowing community.
General Fund
Your general fund donation powers everything we do. From equipment maintenance and facility improvements to coaching and operational costs, these contributions keep our doors open and our boats on the water.
General fund donations give us the flexibility to respond to immediate needs, invest in program improvements, and ensure our entire community—youth and adults alike—has access to quality rowing programs year-round.
